How do I install eSIM on my Sharp device?

Installing an eSIM on a Sharp device follows similar steps to most Android devices. Here’s a general guide for installing eSIM on your Sharp device:

1. Ensure Your Device Supports eSIM

  • First, confirm that your Sharp model supports eSIM functionality. Some devices may only support physical SIM cards.

2. Obtain Your eSIM Details

  • You’ll need a QR code or activation code from your eSIM provider (such as JetSIM, Airalo, or a mobile carrier).

3. Install the eSIM

Steps to Install:

  1. Open Settings:
    • Go to the Settings app on your Sharp device.
  2. Go to Network & Internet (or Connections):
    • Scroll to and select Network & Internet or Connections, depending on your device’s interface.
  3. Select Mobile Network:
    • Tap on Mobile Network to manage your SIMs.
  4. Add Mobile Plan:
    • Look for the option to Add a mobile plan or Add SIM.
  5. Scan the QR Code:
    • If you have a QR code, tap the option to scan the QR code and use your camera to scan the code provided by your eSIM provider.
  6. Enter the Activation Code Manually (if no QR code):
    • If you don’t have a QR code, you may be able to manually enter the activation code by selecting the manual option.
  7. Complete the Installation:
    • Once the QR code is scanned or the activation code is entered, the eSIM will install. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.

4. Activate Your eSIM

  • After installing the eSIM, go to Settings > Network & Internet > Mobile Network and select the eSIM profile.
  • Toggle Mobile data on for the eSIM to start using it.
  • If you’re traveling internationally, make sure Data Roaming is enabled in the Mobile Network settings.

5. Set Preferred SIM for Data, Calls, and Messages

  • If you’re using both a physical SIM and eSIM, you can set the eSIM as the preferred line for data, calls, or messages.
    • Go to Settings > Mobile Network and choose the eSIM as your preferred SIM for mobile data or other services.

6. Monitor Data Usage

  • After activation, you can monitor your eSIM’s data usage by going to Settings > Network & Internet > Data Usage.

Once the eSIM is installed and activated, your Sharp device will use the eSIM for cellular data, calls, and texts, as per your settings.
