How do I switch between eSIMs?
Switching between eSIMs on your device is easy and can be done through the settings. Here’s how to switch between eSIMs on different devices:
On iPhone:
- Open Settings:
- Go to the Settings app.
- Select Cellular:
- Tap Cellular (or Mobile Data in some regions).
- Manage eSIM Plans:
- If you have multiple eSIMs, you will see them listed under Cellular Plans.
- Select the eSIM you want to use or switch to.
- Choose Your Default Line:
- Tap Default Line if you want to switch which eSIM is used for calls, messages, and mobile data.
- You can also set one line for calls and SMS and another for data.
- Activate or Deactivate an eSIM:
- If you want to disable or enable a particular eSIM, tap on the eSIM plan, and then toggle Turn On This Line on or off.
On Android (General Instructions):
- Open Settings:
- Go to Settings on your Android phone or tablet.
- Go to Mobile Network Settings:
- Tap Network & Internet or Connections (depending on your device) > Mobile Network > SIM Card Manager (or Manage SIMs).
- Select the eSIM to Switch:
- If you have multiple eSIM profiles, they will be listed here. You can switch between them by selecting the desired eSIM or enabling/disabling specific profiles.
- Activate the Preferred eSIM:
- Once you’ve selected the eSIM, you can activate it as your primary data connection or set it for calls or texts.
- Manage Dual SIM Settings (if applicable):
- For dual SIM devices (physical SIM + eSIM or multiple eSIMs), you can choose which SIM/eSIM to use for mobile data, calls, and texts. Go to Settings > SIM Card Manager or SIM Management and make your selections.
On iPad or Android Tablets:
- Open Settings:
- Go to Settings > Cellular Data (on iPad) or Mobile Network (on Android tablets).
- Switch eSIMs:
- Under Cellular Plans, choose which eSIM you want to use for data. You can activate or deactivate individual plans as needed.
Notes:
- Multiple eSIMs: Devices that support multiple eSIMs may not allow all to be active at the same time. You can store multiple eSIM profiles, but you might need to deactivate one eSIM before activating another.
- Data, Calls, and SMS: On most devices, you can set one SIM (physical or eSIM) for calls and SMS and another for data, but this varies based on device settings and carrier support.
