How to rename your eSIM
Renaming your eSIM on your device helps distinguish between multiple eSIMs or SIM cards, making it easier to manage them. Here’s how you can rename your eSIM on iPhone and Android devices:
On iPhone:
- Open Settings:
- Go to the Settings app on your iPhone.
- Go to Cellular (or Mobile Data):
- Scroll down and tap on Cellular (or Mobile Data, depending on your region).
- Select Your eSIM:
- Under Cellular Plans, you’ll see a list of active SIMs. Tap on the eSIM you want to rename.
- Edit the Label:
- Tap Label or Cellular Plan Label. This will open a list of default options such as Primary, Secondary, Business, Travel, etc.
- If you prefer a custom label, tap Custom Label and enter a new name for the eSIM.
- Save the New Name:
- Once you’ve entered the new name, go back to save it. Your eSIM will now appear with the new label in your Cellular Plans list.
On Android (Google Pixel, Samsung, etc.):
- Open Settings:
- Open the Settings app on your Android device.
- Go to Network & Internet:
- Tap on Network & Internet (or Connections, depending on the device).
- Go to SIM Card Manager (or SIMs):
- Tap on SIM Card Manager or SIMs.
- Select the eSIM:
- You’ll see a list of active SIMs, including your eSIM. Select the eSIM you want to rename.
- Rename the eSIM:
- Tap on the current name or label for the eSIM.
- Enter a new name or label for your eSIM, and then save the changes.
- Save the New Name:
- After entering the new name, exit the settings. The eSIM will now be displayed with the new name you assigned.
